On July 6th we welcomed our World Wide President,  Kathleen Snow, to a celebratory service in St Andrew’s church, Greystoke. Our Diocesan President welcomed everyone and finished by saying that the WWP had given the large congregation present a day they would never forget!

MU members spoke of what being a member means to them.    One giving a demonstration of the puppets she uses in her ministry to those with Dementia.  Our chaplain led the prayers, our MU choir enhanced the evening with their music and Bishop John  gave the blessing.

As usual the Mothers’ Union put on an amazing spread, themed on Cumbrian specialities, which everyone enjoyed.   We were grateful for Rev David Sargent taking the service for us. Of course ,there is a huge amount of planning behind such a successful event for which we are very grateful to the Trustees.

The WWP spent Saturday night in the Diocesan AFIA caravan and met the CEO and a Director of the charity we co-fund with as well as a mum and her 2 children who had stayed in the caravan.  She also enrolled 2 new members.
